Introducing Jake

Hello, all! 

I am Jake Thacker and I am so very happy to introduce myself as Amanda’s newfound creative analyst. As many of you may know, the summer is incredibly busy with a wedding almost every weekend. 

Therefore, in an effort to have the speediest turnaround for your sure-to-be incredible engagement and wedding photos, I’ll be assisting Amanda with email correspondence, scheduling, question answering, and a bevy of other tasks and roles. 

I, much like Amanda, look forward to getting to know each couple through this exciting process of me joining her team. So, with that being addressed, please don’t be alarmed if you see an email coming from me—and not Amanda—in the future, for I will be your quickest point of contact!

Kate + Alex: Engagement session

This winter I got to do a fun mini session with Kate and Alex so she could get a phone out for their save the dates (check them out here).  The weather was MUCH nicer on this session and I have a lot of fun exploring with you guys.  Also loved the tshirts -- legends never die :)

Nina + Seth: Engagement Session

I met Nina and Seth about 2 weeks ago and they are one of the last weddings I'll be able to book for 2014.  So excited that I was available and I'm getting to shoot their October wedding!  Also, love this spot that Nina suggested downtown with the colorful blue trim and green ivy.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from their session.  

Lauren + Kevin: Wedding film sneak peek by Taura Horn

I am so excited to have Taura Horn working with me at about 15 weddings this summer!  Not only is she an awesome photographer, she has great ideas too and is constantly pushing herself creatively.  And she's super fun to hang out with too.  I honestly work hard to get every single picture at a wedding I need so I definitely don't NEED a second photographer, but it's so fun to collaborate with someone great and provide even more great images for my clients!  Super excited I get to work with her this summer.

Here is a sneak peak of the wedding we shot together last weekend.  She did a ton of images on film with her Hasselblad film camera and totally killed it.  I wanted to blog a few of my favorites.  These were all shot on film and these are scanned digitals of the film.  So so cool.  Laura and Kevin -- hope you enjoy this film sneak peek!

Jaclyn + Derek

I am super pumped about these guys.  They paid a bit extra to cover my cost to travel to Nebraska City to shoot their engagements and I'm so glad they did!  There are a ton of beautiful places in that area and it makes it extra special since Derek is from Nebraska City.

I know I've said it before but I just have the greatest clients anyone could ask for.  Can't wait for the wedding!
