Clare + Josh: A rainy December engagement session

I swear it rained for like 3 days in a row before Clare and Josh's engagement session and it pretty much rained (with a tiny bit of snow) their whole engagement session.  Such weird weather -- when does it ever rain at the end of December??  But once again, we would not be deterred!

Clare and Josh were such great sports and I love the feel of the shots we got in the Old Market.  Clare's red peacoat was just perfect with all the holiday lights and festive feel of the Old Market.  So nice to finally meet Josh and I am beyond excited about their wedding!

Katie + Tony: Omaha Wedding Photography

This was officially my last wedding of the year, and what a great way to end 2014.  An unseasonably warm December day.  We didn't even need to wear jackets!

I absolutely loved Katie's style - the simple classic updo, the lace dress, the lace from her grandmother's dress sown into a incredible design on her veil at the  beautiful ceremony at the cathedral.  We even managed to wrangle Tony in for some great pictures.  Tony and Katie and their friends made it such a fun day to be part of.  I even got to try my first shot of *Apple  Pie*  :)

Congrats again to you guys and thank you so much for letting Kevin and I be part of it!

Nikki + John: Engagement session

Nikki and John have one of the most interesting stories of how they met.  They were both on an online chatroom that connected them with people from all over the world, and they were randomly connected with each other.  After they got to talking they realized they were both from Omaha.  How cool is that?  They met in person for the first time for a date at FilmStreams to see Casablanca.

So... we started this engagement session on the block where it all got started.  Really loved hanging out with these guys and I can't wait until their wedding in July!

Greg and Ashley: Fall wedding, Omaha, NE

Greg and Ashley are such an awesome couple.  I've been looking forward to their wedding since I met them.

My favorite weddings have nothing to do with the dress, or the details, or the reception location.  My favorite part of photographing a wedding is getting to witness authentic emotion and love, and Greg and Ashley's wedding day was just completely filled with it.  Greg's mother passed away a few months before the wedding, and even though I never got to meet her, you could really feel her presence throughout the wedding.  I loved the picture of her that Ashley had pinned on her bouquet, and the video they played before Ashley and Greg's first dance.

So happy I got to meet you guys and be part of your gorgeous day.  Thank you to Kevin for shooting this with me.  Enjoy the pictures!  If you look carefully, you'll find a very embarrassing selfie of me :)
