Allison + Mike: Wedding Photography Sneak Peak

August 17, 2013:  Yesterday was the first wedding that I shot back to back weekends in the same church (Christ Community Church in Omaha, NE).  I had already found some places that I loved for the last shoot there, but I always want to make sure I'm creating something unique for each couple.  So Nina and I dragged this bench we found inside the church about 50 yards to the prettiest trees on the property and shot from a low vantage point so we didn't get the parking lot or interstate in the background. Big thanks to the groomsmen for dragging the bench back inside for us :) Allison and Mike had the most gorgeous August day and they are very much in love.  Really happy for them both!

Audrey and John's Engagement photos! Omaha, NE

August 18, 2013:  Being a wedding photographer in Nebraska, you definitely have to deal with what the weather gives you. But this was probably the weirdest weather of the summer for engagement photos. It started off by raining (while the sun was still out), then getting super overcast, then raining again, then the sun coming out. What I've learned though is that sometimes its best to just fight through it because a lot of times the most challenging weather gives you the coolest photos.  And Audrey and John were super cool through the whole thing and we had quite a bit of fun.  I loved all the weird clouds and puddles that were hanging around. There was even a rainbow! Check out this engagement session for another example of a tough weather situation that turned out being really fun.

Katrina + Jake: Omaha wedding photography

July 20, 2013 wedding:  Katrina and Jake have the biggest most infectious smiles. I loved being part of this. I remember during our very first meeting (my only wedding this year that only the groom was able to attend) and I was talking to Jake about the photography and asked him what he was looking for out of the wedding day. He said, "to make Katrina happy."  How sweet is that?

I know you guys are going to have a long happy life together and I'm glad I got to take pictures at the start of it!

This wedding was shot at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Papillion and the reception was at the Stockyards building. :)

Mary and Keith Wedding: Omaha, Nebraska

July 12, 2013 Wedding: This was a great day. Mary is seriously the sweetest, most chill person you'll ever meet. And Keith is really funny and is also the first groom that made me all teary eyed when he was toasting his new bride and thanking his parents. Ok Keith, you got me. Ceremony was at Peace Presbyterian Church and reception was at Indian Creek :)

Amanda + Tom wedding: Scott Center: Omaha, Nebraska

Amanda and Tom had such a great wedding on July 6, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary church in Omaha, NE.  There were so many things that I loved about being part of their wedding, but hands down the best part is Amanda and Tom's personalities.  They are both sooo great, and they also have a great group of friends (largest wedding party all year for me!).  This was my first time shooting at St. Margaret Mary's and I think it might be my new favorite church to shoot in.  I'm glad we decided to take a shot of Amanda and Tom toward the back of the church (instead of the traditional on the alter shot) so that you could really get a sense of the space. The reception was at the Scott Conference Center.  This blog post has WAY to many photos in it and I tried to cut out some of the dancing photos but I just like so many of them...

Thanks to Kevin for introducing me to Amanda and Tom and for second shooting this wedding with me :)
